Tadashi Asoma ( 1923 2017) moved from Japan to Paris in 1958 when he was offered a scholarship from to study painting. Asoma subsequently moved the United States and studied at the Art Students League in NYC. Much of his work is inspired by the nature surrounding Garrison, NY, a small village where Asoma resided. His canvases are marked with an astute use of bold color, texture, and pattern. |
