About

Jon King, formerly Bernays Curatorial Fellow of British Paintings at the National Gallery, explores how cultures of childhood, morality and visual spectacle helped define 18th-century ways of seeing, from Joseph Wright 'of Derby’s' candlelit scenes, to the peepshows and magic lanterns that illuminated the age.

Due to unforeseen circumstances this event has had to be postponed. A rescheduled date will be announced soon.
